Performance Fluid Management (PFM) is a unique consultancy specializing in the independent management of the entire drilling fluids package: mud, solids control and waste under a single plan. PFM offers a high level of expertise, both on and offshore, giving our customers a competitive advantage by optimizing the drilling process.

As a member of its customer’s drilling team, PFM brings value to its projects, independently managing the fluid-related services, maximizing technical limits, and applying best practices to reduce costs, waste and risk.

PFM sells no mud, rents no equipment and provides no waste disposal services. Our specialty is knowledge. All our personnel are experts in their respective fields and have an average of 20 years experience.

The PFM application covers the full spectrum of upstream E&P operators from major multinational oil companies through to large and small independents, and the turn-key contractors.

History

PFM Services Inc. was born out of the realization the oil and gas industry lacked a independent drilling project management system, and that this shortcoming was potentially costing companies millions of dollars.

Since its inception in 2004, PFM continued ongoing expansion into international markets. Markets include Africa, Asia and the Russian Federation.

Company

PFM's project management system integrates, co-ordinates and maximizes the performance of drilling fluids, completion fluids, solids control, waste management and waste disposal services. It is NOT a bundling of services; it is an integration of all the fluid and related services into the goals of the project as a whole.

The purpose of PFM is to provide a culture of continuous improvement. The drilling industry understands the value in this process and is moving to implement these types of project management processes. The process of delivering maximum value and performance on an independent basis differentiates PFM from the competition.
